Thoughts about environmental sustainability

We are thinking about how we address problems caused by climate change.

It is our hope that what is shared will benefit all our trading partners; that ideas contributed will bring about real change in the way we do things.

Your ideas and thoughts could benefit many e.g. discuss problems you are having, issues you are dealing with, solutions you have found etc.

Future Study Tours

We are currently considering the schedule for future Study Tours for Created Sellers. We are keen to find out which partners you would most like to visit so that we can prioritise the sequence of tours over the next 3-5 years. Typically in January or February to take advantage of more temperate weather conditions, these two week trips, currently cost around £1800 for flights, accommodation, food and all required activities. These are great opportunities to get to grips with the stories behind why we do what we do.
Let us know which partner(s) you would like to visit and if there is anything in our arrangements that would make it more possible for you to go on a future trip. Note this is NOT committing you to anything; it will just help us formulate our plans.

What is your all-time favourite Created product

As part of the selection process for next year’s catalogue we are looking at what have been iconic best sellers in the past. If you could have any product back from any previous Tearcraft / Created catalogue, what would it be and how would you improve it or update it for the 2010 catalogue? Let us know and we will include your views in our considerations of what could be classed as classic items that could still make it into next years best seller lists.

Share your sales and promotion ideas

In trying to grow the sales of Created gifts in the UK, we are interested in hearing about what you have had success with in your area so others can perhaps try and do something similar or learn from your mistakes. What new events or approaches have you taken to selling Created gifts? What places have you been that suprised you with the outcome. What great outlets have you found for particular products? Share here any ideas you have tried so that others can benefit from your experience.

Future plans

Created were among the pioneers of what has today become a mainstream concept of fair trade. As we plan our future, what do you think we should be considering as ways of continuing to lift people out of poverty?
